Happy International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia
LGBT, NewsBites — By Speak Equal on May 17, 2010 at 1:44 pmThere’s tons going on around the world to celebrate, honor, and agitate for change on this day:
UnitedENDA is kicking off the National Week of Action to Move the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) forward. United ENDA is a coalition effort of nearly 400 organizations including Out and Equal, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF), National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), Parents Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), and many more.
In addition, there are some hot issues being discussed:
- The struggle for LGBT children who are facing the challenge of “coming out” sooner and sooner.
- New York takes on domestic partnerships!
- Is Supreme Court nominee Elana Kagan a lesbian or not … and should we even care?
The downer for the day rests in Minnesota … keep your head up guys, and keep fighting!
What are you doing for IDAHO?
