Happy Monday (vol. 43) — Not Even IF Pigs Could Fly

As we move into the second week of working to rebuild and restore our site, we wanted to make sure that we continued to bring you the best in Happy Monday wishes.

Typically, Happy Monday is a time of sarcastic, but good-natured loathing as we all begin to stir from our relative weekend stupors and report to our local cubicle farms.

While we were down, this past week saw many news highlights. President Obama re-stated his commitment to repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Hawaii lawmakers have moved to indefinitely postpone their decision to allow civil unions, Maryland actually moved one step closer to banning the recognition of same-sex marriages performed in other states, and finally the Student Non-Discrimination Act, a bill that will protect students from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, was introduced to Congress.

This week, we’ve got our eye on plenty of things happening in our own community, but also at the national and international level.
