North Carolina considers amending constitution to include same-sex marriage ban

Sen. Jim Forrester, a Gaston County Republican, is trying once again to write a ban on same-sex marriages into the N.C. Constitution.

Forrester has authored several similar bills in previous legislative sessions in an attempt to push an amendment to the state Constitution banning marriage equality measures.
