Speak Equal – Board of Directors

Hello All,

It is with great pleasure that I may introduce Speak Equal’s new, official Board of Directors.

It is my vision, that through our hard work, Speak Equal will enhance the programs it offers to our community, continue to encourage involvement and community development at all ages, and further offer support along our journey toward achieving equal rights for every human being.

Our goal is to maintain a Board of at least ten (10) members. I am so excited to announce that in our first round of interviews, we’ve filled nine (9) of those available ten (10) positions as follows:

President – Brooke N. Murphy
Vice-President – Heather Wright
Secretary – Briana L. Urena
Treasurer – VACANT
Volunteer Co-ordinator – Kimberly Warren
At-Large Members – Tony Thompson, TJ Rau, Liz Stegman, Elizabeth Riley-Spreitzer, Kimmy DeVries

Each member of our team comes HIGHLY qualified and exceptionally dedicated to the human rights and equality cause. Community involvement spans nearly every organization within our community from the DAAC (Heartside District) to the West Michigan Literacy Council.

As President of this budding organization, I can say, from the bottom of my heart, that I am so exceptionally proud and honored to be working with such a well-rounded group of individuals.

Board of Directors Meetings
In it’s commitment to promoting community involvement and development at all levels of our community, Speak Equal is hereby promising that all of its Board of Directors meetings will be held in non-alcoholic, community-friendly spaces.

Although Board Members must be 18 or older, we believe having our meetings in spaces that are accessible to all ages encourages all levels of our community to become involved and invested in our community’s development.
